| Description: | Board-level governance |
| Location: | London, United Kingdom |
| Subject: | Governance models in both the public and private sectors emphasise that the job of a board member is pro-active, not just reactive. The following topics will be covered: the need to establish clarity about what issues the board should deal with, and those that it delegates; the role of non-executive directors vis-à-vis executive directors; the role of sub-committees; individual and collective responsibilities; the type of information needed by boards; the structure and disclosure of board minutes; board-level interaction with key internal and external stakeholders; and accountability for the boards performance.
